Last night my roommate
Rich threw a smashing birthday party for my other roommate (also his girlfriend),
Jen. It started with a small, intimate dinner at
Solera, where pitchers of sangria and plates of tapas were passed around like a stripper at a Vikings boat cruise. I tried to save a seat for my imaginary boyfriend, Sebastian, but of course
Hedy insisted that she sit by me. She is so jealous of me and my imaginary boyfriend's perfect relationship!

After dinna, we caravaned to the
414 Soundbar in downtown Minneapolis. Richie rented out the club for two hours so we could party in peace. The DJ even played some Billy Ocean. Too bad Sebastian wasn't there to see me shake it...

Then cake was shared, drinks were poured, conversations were had. Jason broke it down on the dancefloor, Ang showed off by doing the running man (I was sad for wearing my knee-high boots with heels, as I could not throw down the running man gauntlet and give her a dance-off for her money), Andrew E. and company demonstrated the Robot (heels weren't going to stop me when it came to
the Robot!), and then we had a Soul Train dance circle, each of us jumping into the middle to break out our best moves. It was the shiznit.

Happy 21st, Jen!

was there a party last night? Ohhhh, right. Now I remember.
There should be some kind of city ordinance against having that many cool and good looking people in one spot.
I think we had to keep the location a secret because a single grenade could have wiped out two-thirds of the Twin Cities blogging community,
lol@max. From now on, maybe you should always intentionally leave one person out, like they do for the State of the Union Address.
Kevin, they tried to get me to stay home, but I assured them we'd be safe. They really, really tried to get me to stay home. They were pretty adamant that I shouldn't be there. In fact, they had instructed the bouncers not to let me in. But it's cool. I'm a professional. I know what I'm doing.
It was the best party evah! Thanks everyone for making it so fun. And wow, you got some really good pics, Amber. That one of me with the cake is awesome!
Long have I thought of myself as some kind of a nipple.
Nice picture of you and your friend.
I've been eating purses ever since!
